Many many thanks to [info]yaara for the loverly new icon of me and Larry!  Woohoo, I lurve it muchly!!!  She gets first dibs on any singing requests, including embarrassing ones.

Way way way too much of me making a fool of myself and belting out broadway tunes in the wrong damn key.  Only two more rounds til the end of October, so get your requests in soon!  Otherwise, I will subject you to Gilbert and Sullivan on Monday!

Ok, worst one first. Sorry [info]queenb23more, but no matter what key I tried this in, it didn't want to sound very good with my voice. I did my best! It's such a beautiful song too....but alas, it didn't like me....got anything else that might like me better?
Somewhere, from West Side Story

For [info]cuteej4, who requested this number from Les Miserables, Castle on a Cloud. I used to sing this when I was a little kid in singing competitions. My voice was a heck of a lot sweeter then. Sorry dear...I tried!

This song I always wanted to sing when I was in competitions as a kid...but I was never old enough. Now I'm old enough. I wails at it so damn loud I had to hold my transcription headset three feet away from my mouth to prevent feedback. Yes, I could make you go deaf if I wanted to. God, I love Les Miserables....such great drama, and such great songs. I really wanted to be play Fantine. I Dreamed a Dream

You did a wonderful job on "I Dreamed a Dream". It is a very dramatic song, which fits you perfectly :P

Are you calling me a drama queen?!?

Wuv you.

You like drama and you're my queen, so you can put the two together :P

I think my favorite of these three was "Castle on a Cloud". You do the pretty singing really well!

Argh, I wanna do "On My Own" (Lea Salonga is my hero), but the stupid voice posts make me sound like shit. :(

Request! Can you do "Achy Breaky Heart"? YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO. :D Seriously though, I think you'd sound great in country.

Thank you.

I think.

Achy Breaky Heart? No...I don't want to. Sorry. No.

I am willing to do country, but not something pitched so totally for a man with no voice whatsoever. Find something by Dolly Parton or Patsy Cline, and you've got a deal.

And I'll lend you my headset to record stuff!!!I'd love to hear you do On My Own!

Haha, okay. Fine. How about "Crazy"? Or "I Will Always Love You". Country-style, not over-the-top Whitney style.

My friend Marlon and I are going to hang out over winter break and do a few piano/vocal covers for YouTube-y fun. Maybe I'll slip it in then. :)

Patsy Cline I can definitely do. I'll try Crazy, or if that flops, I might do Walking After Midnight.

I think you did a FANTASTIC job on these!! I'm sorry for picking something so hard, but you really did sound lovely singing it!!

And I'm not sure I've told you, but it's so amazingly cool that you are singing these!! You've got a great voice!!

**hugs and smooches you**

Oh thank you!

And it's fine. It's not a hard song, I just didn't think my range did it justice. It's almost like a hymn, and I couldn't quite get the sound right. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to sing it though. It's so beautiful.

I have to say singing these things and practicing for them makes me really happy for some reason. Definitely fights the depression. I forgot just how much I love to sing. I miss my choir!
